This article from the New Yorker’s quite a whopper, but it’s a good read.
It makes me especially happy that Springsteen talks about his experiences with chronic depression—and his consistent seeing a therapist since 1982—so candidly. With all this negative shit going around about depressed people lately [and for fuck’s sake, it’s not even known if Batman gunman James Holmes was depressed, so stop saying he was until we actually know], it’s just really edifying to see someone talk about depression and be like, “Hey, you know what? I’m depressed, I’ve been depressed for most of my life, and I’m still hanging on.”

Sometimes I forget Springsteen did have depression. It’s amazing the stuff he accomplished and how he got through it.
