Art from the Wrecking Ball Tour Book, from Michelle Holme’s website.
Michelle is an associate art director at Sony Music, responsible for the logos, packaging, images, etc. that accompany their artists’ releases. She also recently won a Grammy for her work on the Darkness… boxset.
Her site features a whole bunch of wonderful high resolution examples of Springsteen (& Patti) related design & merchandise.

Last night in Barcelona, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band played Prove It All Night—with the legendary instrumental opening, as performed on the Darkness On The Edge Of Town Tour! Bruce had previously said that he would never play the song with this intro again, yet here he is reviving it after more than three decades of not playing it.

For those of you asking, here’s a photo of the best hug of my life! I’ll write up a full recap later because this show really deserves it.

Here’s the recap. Good on you, girl!

During a 1978 Darkness On The Edge Of Town Tour stop in LA Bruce reacted to a billboard advertising his latest album by saying that it was “the ugliest thing I’ve seen in my life.” That night Bruce and the E Street Band climbed the billboard and vandalized it.

Love and death on the Springsteen tour - Salon.com →

I’ve been trying to find a significant extract from this article to quote here to encourage you guys to read this, but actually it’s all so good I can’t simply isolate one sentence or paragraph.

Joan Walsh here speaks as much for many of us who converted to the Church of Springsteen long ago, as for those who joined recently. A Springsteen concert is not just a concert; it’s a sensual, physical, spiritual experience. And it carries the story of a man and his band, a story that has touched all of us in different ways, and that brings us together here and there - on the web and in the arena.

Read it and see for yourself. I’m willing to put money on this article being the smartest, most constructive, and deepest analysis of the current state of the Springsteen nation that will appear this year.
