For two nights, Nov. 4 and 5, to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Grushecky’s album “American Babylon.” which Springsteen produced and Grushecky credits with keeping him in music, Bruce Springsteen and Joe Grushecky are sharing the stage. On Thursday night, Bruce started by declaring, “I’m gonna open up for Joe tonight!” and then went on to play a 3 solos before bringing out Grushecky and his Houserockers. The night included a delightful collection of songs including the world premier of “Save My Love.”

I took this picture. I was this close to Bruce. I slapped his ass…I blew him kisses, then he came over and faught off other womens hands to give me his pick. I got to meet him after the show(no pictures from that, which is ok) and he called me kid. The only person I will let call me kid from now on. I had a wonderful night. Let me be a fangirl for a 61 year old man. I love his music, DO NOT GET ME WRONG. But he is also one of the most attractive men alive…period, not just out of the 60 year olds.
Some folks here will be very jealous of you, kid ;)
The American Babylon anniversary shows are creeping up on us this week. Check out this amazing poster designed by Dan Rugh at Common Wealth. We will have a limited amount of silk screened posters for each night. So be sure to get them when you get there!
